Life Sharing After the Start of Third Year 大三開學後之生活分享

This morning I took the first exam since entering my third year (full marks). Although Taipei declared a typhoon holiday today, the lecturer still conducted the exam online. Since the new term began, I have spent a considerable amount of time in group discussions (meetings) due to participation in a business competition. The preliminary submission deadline was Tuesday, 24 September; the previous day, 23 September, I was still at school in a meeting until about 21:40, and I did not return to my accommodation until nearly 23:00. Yesterday was the day the competition announced who had passed the preliminary round; unfortunately, both teams sent by Soochow University failed to advance and were eliminated. However, I did not have much time to feel disheartened as I had two assignments due today for the course “Marketing in the Service Industry,” in addition to the exam.
今天早上考了上大三後的第一個考試（滿分），儘管今天台北有放颱風假，但是老師還是採用線上考試的方式進行。 開學後因為參與商業競賽的關係，花了蠻多時間在小組討論（開會）。上禮拜二9/24是比賽初審的截止日，前一天9/23甚至還在學校開會開到21:40幾，我回到住處都快23:00了。而昨天是比賽公佈有無通過初審的日子，很遺憾的，東吳這次派出的2隊都無緣晉級慘遭淘汰。不過我昨天沒有太多時間沮喪，因為今天就要交「服務業行銷」這門課的2份作業還有考試。

I expected at least one of our two teams to progress, so this result was quite unexpected. However, this project was indeed very time-consuming, and in reality, it will likely only serve as a bonus when applying for postgraduate studies abroad, as the primary considerations remain academic performance and internships. Now that the business competition has concluded, I can devote more energy to my university studies and preparation for the IELTS examination. In fact, I have gained a great deal from this competition; it has made me aware of the significant gaps in my current professional capabilities, strengthening my motivation to pursue postgraduate studies. Furthermore, I seem to have discovered an area of business studies that greatly interests me and that I wish to delve into further, though I will keep that undisclosed for now.
我以為我們2隊中至少會有一隊晉級，這結果真的蠻意外的。不過做這專案真的非常花時間，其實對未來國外研究所申請應該也只是加分而已，最主要還是看重在校成績和「實習」。剛好商業競賽告一段落，我也可以將更多精力投注在學校課業上還有「雅思」（英文留學考試）的準備。其實這次比賽我還是很有收穫的，透過比賽我意識到自己目前的專業能力非常不足，因此想往上去讀研究所的動機變得更加強烈，另外我似乎也有發現一個蠻有興趣想鑽研的商學領域，在此就先賣個關子不透露了。
